We source our products directly from skilled artisans, many of whom are women, whose craftsmanship reflects generations of tradition, creativity, and resilience. in 2023, at just 17 years old, I started Origins of Kenyan with a simple idea and a few handcrafted products. During a visit back home to Kenya, I was inspired by the incredible artistry of beaded leather belts and dog collars made by local artisans when in town. I brought a few back and sold them to teachers and friends at school. The response was immediate and people were captivated by the craftsmanship and style of each peace.
That experience opened my eyes to the potential of something greater. I saw an opportunity not just to build a business, but to create a platform that connects people around the world to the rich tradition of Kenyan beadwork. More importantly, I wanted to support the artisans and communities behind these products a we rarley see such skill in handcrafted traditions in todays world!!
